Power management solutions W83L351 and W83L352 for the peripheral power switches of notebook PCs are the upcoming products to the market. The W83L351 series are the power distribution switch for the ExpressCard TM interface of next generation PC Card. It conforms to the ExpressCard TM compliance checklist and has acquired the compliance ID (EC100098). W83L351 series support single-slot socket of ExpressCard|34 TM or ExpressCard|54TM and distribute 3.3V, 3.3Vaux and 1.5V power to the ExpressCardTM socket. Current limit and thermal showdown protection devices are built-in in each power set for a safer working environment. The Pb-free packages are available including 20-pin TSSOP (W83L351G) and QFN (W83L351YG/YCG) packages.
At the first quarter of 2007, the W83L352 will be introduced, the widely used power distribution switch in the peripheral interface of notebooks. The W83L352 series can act as the USB current limited power switch. With the protection mechanism of under voltage and thermal showdown, a safer working environment could be ensured. Furthermore, we are going to provide various current limit specifications to meet the requirements of different notebook peripheral powers. The single-port or dual-port IC versions are also available for your choice. The Pb-free packages are considered providing 5-pin SOT23, 8-pin MSOP and SOP compact packages which can make greater flexibility on PCB design.
