Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced revenue results for the month of June 2005. Revenue for the month was NT2.757 billion, an increase of 20.63 percent, when compared to NT 2.286 billion in the previous month.
Winbond's revenue has been steadily growing since this March. The revenue of June has reached the record high since this year, mainly because the inventory adjustment of mobile RAM products has come to an end and the shipment of Pseudo SRAM has grown steadily. In addition, the beneficial effects resulting from the recent acquisition of the intellectual properties and assets of National Semiconductor have emerged. Winbond has created a synergy amongst its original I/O and the products acquired from National Semiconductor. Therefore, the revenue of June grew significantly compared to that of last month.
The third quarter has been the traditional peak season for the Information Electronics Products and it is expected to have an increasing demand on the Consumer Electronics and PC Peripherals. Winbond will continuously develop its value-added product lines to meet the market trend.
