(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation announced the revenue results for the month of November 2006 today. Revenue for the month was NT$3.592 billion, an increase of 6.50 percent when compared to NT$3.372 billion in the previous month. Accumulated revenue for January to November of 2006 was NT $30.292 billion, an increase of nearly 18.86 percent, when compared with NT $25.486 billion over the same period last year.
Winbond continued the growing strength from last month and reached its revenue peak. In terms of Memory Products, the increased market demand of Specialty DRAM pushed the shipment higher, and the wafer output of 300mm fab continuously grew. The overall revenue of Memory Products increased. In terms of Logic Products, due to the pass of shipment peak of Christmas, the overall revenue of Logic Products decreased slightly.
Looking forward to the fourth season, the output of 300mm fab is going to reach the target of 24,000 wafers per month. The production proportion of 90nm technology will continuously increase, and the average sales price of Commodity DRAM will be better as well. In addition, Winbond's recent investment of EMLSI is expected to reinforce the market competitiveness of Mobile RAM Products. The overall revenue is expected to grow steadily.
