(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation today announced the revenue results for the month of July 2007. In terms of Logic Products, the Computer Logic ICs performed stably resulting from revenue increases from both Motherboard Related ICs and Notebook I/O Controller. The Speech ICs continued its peak season effect resulting in a growing shipment which drove the overall Logic revenue up. The sluggish demand in the Memory market has eased gradually this month. In addition, the ratio of 90nm production in Winbond’s 300mm fab continued to rise and the demand of Flash Products grew. Therefore, the overall Memory revenue increased.
For the third quarter, the peak season effect of consumer electronics will last. Also, the DRAM market is expected to recover gradually that will help the performance of Memory Products back to normal. Besides, the mass production of 80nm in Winbond’s 300mm fab has started. It is anticipated that the overall revenue will grow each month.
