Hsinchu, Taiwan, Feb. 17, 2023- Winbond Electronics Corporation today announced its full year 2022 business results, consolidated annual revenue totaled NT$94.530 billion, a decrease of 5.06 percent compared to the same period of 2021. The consolidated revenue slowed down due to weak demand of consumer products and inventory adjustments in the memory business. Gross margin was 46% and Net income attributable to shareholders of the parent was NT$12.927 billion. Earnings per share in 2022 was NT$3.25.
As far as memory business is concerned, revenue for the 2022 full year totaled NT$51.772 billion, a decrease of 11.17 percent compared to the same period of 2021. Revenue from Flash Memory accounted for 57% of annual net sales, and the Flash revenue from high-density NOR Flash products continued to increase. Revenue from DRAM accounted for 43% of annual net sales, and 25nm DRAM revenue contributed over 65% of total DRAM revenue in 2022.
In 2022 full year, applications for consumer, communication, computer, and car & industrial accounted for 20%, 29%, 24%, and 27% of total memory revenue, respectively.
