The company experienced a slight increase in March 2001 revenue when compared with the month of February 2001. This was due, in part, to the stabilization of pricing for DRAM products. At the same time, The Company's Logic Product Business Group launched a new solution for caller ID product. In addition, the CompanyĄŚs voice IC products experienced fairly good response in the market. And overall, the Company saw an increase in motherboard products, which also contributed to the slight increase in March revenue. Winbond plans to increase its efforts for the sales and marketing of logic products to help counter any future market fluctuations in DRAM pricing. The Company also plans to continue its development efforts for IC solutions in expanding markets; including Internet appliance products, digital audio/video chips, and telecommunication semiconductors. Through this dual strategy of technology development and products aimed at growing markets, Winbond is dedicated to improving its overall position in the global semiconductor market.
