The Company's Logic IC Business Group reported that revenue contributions had ten percent increase from last month, with increased demand seen for Winbond's multimedia ICs, telephony dialer ICs and Flash memory. To lessen the impact that worldwide DRAM price fluctuations continue to have on business, Winbond has been aggressively focusing on product, marketing and sales efforts for the Company's line of Logic ICs. Since the second quarter of 2001,the Company has steadily expanded its Logic IC product portfolio. In turn, revenue from this product line has been increasing and currently accounts for more than half of the Company's monthly revenue. Future product development for DRAM will focus on application specific DRAM markets and technology. In addition, the Company will continue to modify its DRAM process and design strategy to place more emphasis on niche products.
