(Taipei News)Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced revenue results for the month of December 2003. Revenue for the month was approximately NT $2.661 billion, a decrease of 1.3 percent when compared with NT $2.696 billion over the previous month.
The slackening demand of the slow season in motherboard I/O ICs and consumer electronic product ICs, coupled with the weak average sales price of DDR products, led to the slight drop of December operating revenues. However, with the strong contribution of the sequential shipment growth of Pseudo SRAMs, the Company merely showed a decrease of 1.3% over the previous month.
Looking forward to the first quarter of 2004, the revenues of specialty DRAMs and Pseudo SRAMs will continue to grow. With the prosperous outlook of digital electronics products and TFT-LCD, coupled with WinbondĄŚs continuous focus on micro controller ICs for digital still camera (DSC), LCD driver ICs and NOR Flash products, the Company foresees this up trend to yield good results.
