(Taipei News)Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced revenue results for the month of November 2004. Revenue for the month was approximately NT 2.115 billion, a decrease of 10.09 percent when compared with NT 2.353 billion the previous month.
Due to the slowdown of seasonal peak in production as well as adjustments in customer inventory levels, the demand related to ICs market decreased. In terms of Memory Products, the adjustments in customer inventory levels led to decrease of the market demand of Pseudo SRAM. Specialty DRAM was affected by the softened average sales price (ASP). Therefore, Memory revenue is decreased.
As the new products of the 1.3M to 2.1M pixel handset Digital Still Camera backend ICs, with MPEG4, auto-focus, and zoom-in/zoom-out embedded functions, and the 40- to 60-channel polyphonic ringing tone chips, Winbond has entered the mass production stage with the customer. It is expected to be a positive addition to the Company's operational performance.
