(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced revenue results for the month of December 2004. Revenue for the month was NT2.137 billion, an increase of 1.05 percent when compared with NT 2.115 billion in the previous month.
Despite the softened average sales price (ASP), increase in memory product shipments led to an increase of 9 percent in memory product revenue when compared with last month. However, due to the low seasonal effect of consumer products, Logic and Memory product performances were mutually offset. Therefore, December revenue remained relatively flat.
Looking forward to 2005, due to different market speculations as well as the blurry visibility on the demand side, expectations for the first quarter of 2005 remain conservative.
