Winbond Electronics Corporation Announces Monthly Revenue Results for July 2005

Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced revenue results for the month of July 2005. Revenue for the month was NT2.521 billion, a decrease of 8.56 percent, when compared to NT 2.757 billion in the previous month.

In terms of Memory Products, as the inventory adjustment of Pseudo SRAM came to an end, customers have continuously replenished products to their previous level. Due to the increasing market demand, Pseudo SRAM remained full capacity in July.

As for Logic Products, the rapid growth in notebook and server market this year led to the increased demand of notebook and server related I/O ICs in Advanced PC center (APC). The Company expects that this strong demand will be sustained to the fourth quarter. In addition, the extended customer base as well as stronger market demand in TFT LCD Driver ICs will also be a positive addition to the Company's operational performance.
