Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced revenue results for the month of August 2005. Revenue for the month was NT2.596 billion, an increase of 2.99 percent, when compared to NT 2.521 billion in the previous month.
In terms of Logic Products, revenue in PC peripherals such as motherboard related I/O ICs and notebook embedded controller ICs continued to sustain a stable growth. Mobile phone backend ICs also yield good revenue results when compared to previous month, thus generating raised Logic Products revenue. As for Memory Products, revenue in Pseudo SRAM remained relatively flat. August revenue increased slightly compared to that of last month.
Due to the traditional hot season for PC peripherals products, it is expected to have increasing demands of Motherboard related I/O ICs and TFT-LCD Driver ICs. In addition, the strong demand in Notebook and Server I/O will be kept to the fourth quarter. As a whole, the Company expects a continuous increase in monthly revenue.
