(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of IC product solutions, today announced the revenue results for the month of August 2006. Revenue for the month was NT$3.12 billion, an increase of 4.85 percent when compared to NT$2.98 billion in the previous month. Accumulated revenue for January to August of 2006 was NT $20.107 billion, an increase of nearly 14.35 percent, when compared with NT $17.584 billion over the same period last year.
In terms of Logic Products, as the Motherboard Related ICs has entered its hot season, the revenue of I/O products and Image Signal Processors increased. Therefore, the overall revenue of Logic Products grew. As for Memory Products, the output of 12-inch fab constantly increased and the production yield performed very well. Shipments of Specialty DRAM rose as well. Revenue of Memory Products is increased.
As a whole, the market demand and price of DRAM market is expected to rise, and the revenue will continue to increase.
