Winbond Announces Monthly Revenue for October

(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation announced the revenue results for the month of October 2006 today. Revenue for the month was NT$3.37 billion, an increase of 4.69 percent when compared to NT$3.22 billion in the previous month. Accumulated revenue for January to October of 2006 was NT $26.70 billion, an increase of nearly 16.73 percent, when compared with NT $22.87 billion over the same period last year.

Winbond presented a great achievement in revenue growth in October. In terms of Memory Products, as the increased market demand of Specialty DRAM pushed the shipment higher, and the wafer output of 300mm fab continuously grew, the overall revenue of Memory Products increased. In terms of Logic Products, because of the low season effect of Consumer Electronics, the revenue of Logic Products, compared with last month, decreased slightly.

Looking forward to the fourth season, the production volume of 300mm fab will continuously increase, and the process will migrate to below 90nm technology constantly. The performance of overall revenue is expected to grow steadily.
