Winbond Announces Monthly Revenue for December

(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation announced the revenue results for the month of December 2006 today. Revenue for the month was NT$ 4.196 billion, an increase of 16.83 percent when compared to NT $3.592 billion in the previous month. Accumulated revenue for January to December of 2006 was NT $34.488 billion, an increase of nearly 23.99 percent, when compared with NT $27.815 billion over the same period in 2005.

In terms of Memory Products, Pseudo SRAM and Specialty DRAM products remained the same level as November 2006. As for the Commodity DRAM, due to the production of 12-inch fab remained in full capacity at 24,000 wafers per month and the production of 90nm technology increased steadily, both the overall production output and revenue of Memory Products increased. Besides, the price adjustment contributed to the revenue of Memory Products as well. In terms of Logic Products, due to the slow season of consumer electric products, the overall revenue of Logic Products decreased slightly when compared with last month.

Looking forward to 2007,the beginning of the first quarter is expected to carry over the great performance from the forth quarter of 2006. The revenue of first quarter shall remain optimistically steady.
