Hsinchu, Taiwan, July 30, 2020- Winbond Electronics Corporation today announced business performance results for the first half of 2020. Consolidated revenue for 2020H1 totaled NT$24.302 billion; net income attributable to shareholders of the parent was NT$ 622 million; earnings per share in 2020H1 was NT$0.16.
As far as memory business is concerned, revenue from Specialty DRAM and Mobile DRAM accounted for 44% of net sales for the first half of 2020. During the same period, Winbond DRAM bit shipment increased by high teens percentage year-over-year. In addition, 25nm DRAM revenue will grow rapidly.
Revenue from Flash Memory accounted for 56% of net sales for the first half of 2020. Flash Memory revenue for the same period was up more than 20% year-over-year. Furthermore, Flash Memory quantity shipment reached quarterly high in the second quarter.
In the first half of 2020, applications for communication, consumer, computer, and car & industrial accounted for 34%, 24%, 22%, and 20% of total memory revenue, respectively.
