From Environmental Action to Shared Value: Winbond Deepens Its Engagement with the Houfeng Bike Path and Advances Environmental Sustainability

Taichung, Taiwan, R.O.C. – Sep. 12, 2026 – Winbond Electronics Corporation (“Winbond”) has long been committed to supporting local communities and advancing environmental sustainability. Today, more than 1,000 Winbond employees and their family members, led by Winbond President Pei-Ming Chen, took part in an event supporting the Company’s stewardship of the Houfeng Bike Path. Their collective participation underscored Winbond’s commitment to environmental protection, employee engagement, and positive contributions to the local community.

With its natural scenery, cultural heritage, and cycling attractions, the Houfeng Bike Path is one of Taichung’s key recreational destinations. In September 2022, Winbond entered into a corporate adoption partnership with the Taichung City Government Tourism and Travel Bureau to support the upkeep of a designated section of the bike path. Over the past four years, the Company has continued to invest in environmental cleaning and facility maintenance, with cumulative expenditures exceeding NT$2.2 million as of August 2026. Through consistent, long-term investment, Winbond is helping enhance the quality of this public recreational space while strengthening its ties with the local community.

In addition to its ongoing maintenance efforts, Winbond has installed locally inspired signage centered on the themes of “Nature, Stewardship, and Shared Value.” Integrating Winbond’s corporate identity with elements of cycling culture and the local ecosystem, the signage seamlessly incorporates sustainability into the surrounding landscape and reflects the Company’s long-term commitment to environmental stewardship and local engagement.
