Business Integrity
Winbond values integrity as well as sustainability, and we hold integrity as the highest ethical standards. The Human Resources Division dedicated to maintaining and enhancing “integrity” as part of company culture through policies making, continuous improvement, supervision over daily operation, and training to the employees. In 2011, 2014 and 2015, Winbond developed the policies of “Code of Corporate Governance”, ”Code of Ethic and Integrity”, “Sustainable Development Best Practice Principles”, “Corporate Social Responsibility Manual” , "Code of Ethics for Board Directors" and "Employee Code of Conduct".
In order to strengthen the training and promotion of labor human rights, environment protection, health and safety, integrity and ethics, and to make sure the company follows corporate ethics and government laws, and fulfills the guideline of integrity management, we conduct annual training in regard to Business Integrity and Sustainability, with the outcome of training presented to Winbond Board of Director by the Human Resources Division in the fourth quarter every year. The training course for 2022 started in the third quarter foucesed on business ethics(covering insider trading prevention, fair business/advertising/competition, protection of identity and non-retaliation) as well as labor rights. Furthermore, the training is promoted to all our global sites and our global training rate yields in total training hours of 1,530 hours with the total of 3,824 employees trained. The training rate reaches 100%.
Human Rights Policy
Winbond Electronics Corp. promises to abide by internationally recognized human rights standards as the highest guiding principle, including :
- UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
- Declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
- UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the International Labor Organization
Winbond implements the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct to uphold human rights and create a safe and ethical working environment. Also, Winbond adheres to the human rights policies below and expects vendors to follows the same standards in their operation and management:

- To continuously promote a culture of diversity and inclusion by recruiting and developing diverse talents.
- To protect the labor rights of disadvantaged groups such as women, indigenous peoples, foreign employees and people with disabilities so as to ensure equal employment opportunities and eliminate employment discrimination
- To prohibit any form of forced labor and child labor from being employed
- To prohibit any form of cruel treatment, including intimidation or harassment
- To provide various grievance channels and mechanisms, and to protect confidentiality of the complainant's identity
- To promise, propose, approve, give or accept bribe or other legitimate gains are prohibited
- To purchase minerals responsibly
- To conduct regular due diligence on human rights, review potential risks and formulate preventive measures to reduce the impact of human rights risks.
