(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced revenue results for the month of January 2005. Revenue for the month was NT1.930 billion, a decrease of 9.7 percent, when compared to NT2.137 billion in the previous month.
January revenue fell as a result of the prolonged economic slump from the fourth quarter of 2004. In terms of memory products, the softened average sales price (ASP) and customer's high inventory level resulted in a shipment slowdown of Pseudo SRAMs. Memory revenue of January was decreased. Revenue for logic products however, increased slightly compared to previous month.
The Company temporarily holds a conservative attitude towards the industry's outlook as it expects a turnaround once customers have completed adjusting their inventory.
