(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced the revenue results for the month of January 2006. Revenue for the month was NT$ 2.087 billion, a decrease of 10.40 percent, when compared to NT$2.329 billion in the previous month.
Fewer number of working days in the Lunar New Year holidays and the slow season effect resulted in a decrease of the overall revenue of January. In terms of Memory Products, the revenue of Specialty DRAM was flat, whereas the decreased shipment of Pseudo SRAM attributed to the DRAM revenue drops. In terms of Logic Products, despite that the revenue of LCD Driver ICs and Motherboard Related I/O ICs was not affected much by the slow season effect and remained stable, the declined shipment of Notebook Embedded Controller caused the decreased revenue of Logic Products.
In sum, in spite of the extended seasonal effect, the revenue of next month is expected to remain flat.
