(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of IC product solutions, today announced the revenue results for the month of June 2006. Revenue for the month was NT$2.833 billion, an increase of 9.03 percent, when compared to NT$2.599 billion in the previous month.
Winbond's increase in June revenue was from the sustained performance carried over from the previous month. In terms of Memory Products, the improvement was mainly due to the increased capacity of 12-inch fab and shipment of Specialty DRAM. In terms of Logic Products, the revenue of speech ICs, mobile handset backend ICs increased due to the seasonal hot season. The overall revenue of Logic Products slightly grew .
Looking forward to the third quarter, as it will be the traditional peak season for Consumer Electronics and PC Peripherals. It is expected that the demand of overall products will continue to grow. The overall performance is expected to be in a growth trend.
