(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced revenue results for the month of February 2005. Revenue for the month was NT1.685 billion, a decrease of 12.68 percent, when compared to NT 1.930 billion in the previous month.
February's revenue drop was due to the fewer number of working days from the Chinese New Year holidays, and also from the softened spot price in the DRAM market.
After the holidays, customer demand increased and market activity resumed to its original steady pace. In particular with the Pseudo SRAM, customers have gradually completed adjusting their inventory, so the rise in market demand for mobile phones is expected to elevate the Company's operational performance in March.
