(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of IC product solutions, today announced the revenue results for the month of April 2006. Revenue for the month was NT$2.365 billion, an increase of 12.19 percent, when compared to NT$2.108 billion in the previous month.
The 12-inch fab entering the volume production stage leaded to the continuous revenue growth of Memory Product. In terms of Logic Product, as the Consumer Product has entered the hot season gradually, the revenues of the μC -based Consumer ICs, speech ICs, Chip Coder and mobile handset backend ICs grew. Nonetheless, due to the slow season of PC, the revenue of Motherboard related I/O ICs slipped. Therefore, the overall revenue of Logic Products was flat when combining the revenues of both segments. Looking forward to the second quarter, as the 12-inch fab has entered its volume production stage; the revenue is expected to constantly grow.
