(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation today announced the revenue results for the month of September, 2007. Revenue for the month was NT$ 2.859 billion, an increase of approximately 2.14 percent when compared with NT$ 2.799 billion in the previous month. Accumulated revenue for January to September of 2007 was NT$ 25.284 billion, an increase of nearly 8.39 percent when compared with NT$ 23.328 billion over the same period in 2006.
In terms of Logic products, the revenue for the new product of Mobile Embedded Controller for Notebook has increased, but the overall revenue of Logic showed a slight decrease due to the low season effect of consumer products such as Speech ICs. As to the Memory products, the current price of DRAM is still soft; the market demand of Specialty DRAM grew slightly, so the overall Memory revenue increased.
Looking forward to the fourth quarter, as the consumer products will enter the traditional low season, and the rebounds of DRAM market demand and price are not very conspicuous, it’s expected that the overall revenue will remain the same as for the third quarter.
