(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation today announced the revenue results for the month of March, 2009. Revenue for the month was NT$ 1.089 billion, an increase approximately 2.97 percent when compared with NT$ 1.058 billion in the previous month. Accumulated revenue for January to March of 2009 was NT$ 3.130 billion.
Thanks to product development and support from customers, Specialty DRAM and NOR Flash reached a continuous revenue growth from the previous in March. Besides, the increasing sales of Commodity DRAM aiming to expand direct selling channels also contributed to the March business.
After the economic recession of the fourth quarter last year, Winbond’s sales revenue for the first quarter of 2009 performed steadily owing to its successful strategy. As a leading Specialty DRAM and NOR Flash provider, Winbond will continue to develop new products and improve the gross margin to achieve to a better result.
