Winbond we offer the Winbond Product Longevity Program (WPLP) for applications that require the long-term support.
The main purpose is to help customers select the most appropriate parts for applications that require stable life cycles support.
Product Longevity Program (PLP)
For customers with application with 7-10+ years:
- The WPLP makes a well-rounded variety of devices for a minimum period of 10 years from the date of introduction (DOI) of Winbond memory PLP products
- Extended 2-year conversion timeline for part number change or discontinuance 12 months for last time buy and 12 months for last time ship (longer periods may be available)
- Up to 7-year roadmap visibility for standard products
- Winbond shall offer form, fit, and function compatible devices if extended support may require migration to lower geometry process nodes or transition to alternate manufacturing facilities
- Winbond will internally qualify the WPLP devices, notify customers and work in supporting an uninterrupted business flow
Standard Lifecycle Products
For Non-longevity customer:
- Support Mobile DRAM, Specialty DRAM and Code Storage Flash Memory, and other products
- Up to 3-year roadmap visibility for standard products
- Standard JEDEC conversion and discontinuance timelines apply
Winbond intends to manage the WPLP through Winbond’s own state of the art 300mm manufacturing facility and other sub-contracted resources with which Winbond has maintained the long-term relationships.
